9x Summit League Champion
Joseph is from Minneapolis, Minnesota where he attended Minneapolis Washburn High School. He helped his cross country team to a 2nd place team finish in the Minnesota State AA Championships. Individually, Joseph placed 7th in the state in cross country and 3rd in the 3200m on the track. His high school personal bests included a 9:11 3200m and 15:21 5k cross country.
After graduating in 2018, Joseph attended South Dakota State University, where he majored in Journalism. His personal bests in college included 8:12 (3000m), 13:51 (5000m) and 28:43 (10,000m). His 10,000m time set an SDSU school record in the event, bettering a mark set in 2016 by Joel Reichow. He was a 9-time Summit League Champion, and also won the college division of the 5000m at the 2023 Drake Relays. He competed in the NCAA West Regionals in the 5000m and 10,000m.
Joseph joined Minnesota Distance Elite in July of 2023.
