Dakotah Lindwurm, Danny Docherty Take Wins at Brian Kraft 5k on Memorial Day in Minneapolis

Minneapolis/St. Paul – May 28, 2019 – Team USA Minnesota’s Dakota Lindwurm and Danny Docherty splashed through the rain on Memorial Day morning to take the wins at the 22nd annual Brian Kraft Memorial 5k that was held at Lake Nokomis in Minneapolis.  In addition, teammate Tyler Jermann was second in the men’s field.


The race was the site of the USATF Minnesota 5k Road Championships with Lindwurm posting a personal best 16:21 for her first place finish (previous best was 16:43) and Docherty finishing in 14:18.  Jermann posted a best of 14:31 in a distance the marathon specialist rarely runs.


Next up for Lindwurm will be Grandma’s Marathon on June 22, with Docherty and Jermann competing in the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon the same day.  Prior to that event, Docherty will turn to the track and run the 10,000 meters at the Portland Track Festival on June 8.
