Danny, Dakotah to Compete at USA 25k Champs on May 11;Katy 5th at USA Half Marathon Champs

Minneapolis/St. Paul – May 7, 2019 – Team USA Minnesota’s Danny Docherty and Dakotah Lindwurm will be among the competitors at the USATF 25k Championships that will be held on May 11 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  The championships are hosted by the 42nd annual River Bank Run, which is the largest 25k road race in the country.


Both Docherty and Lindwurm will be making their first appearance at the 25k Championships.  Docherty has a half marathon best of 1:04:09 and has posted 2:18:27 in the marathon.  Lindwurm has a best in the half marathon of 1:16:16 and this spring has set new personal records in the 8k of 27:45, 10k of 33:42, and 10 mile of 56:08.  She is preparing to run Grandma’s Marathon in June.


The River Bank Run and 25k Championships begin at 8:30 a.m. (Eastern) with a start and finish in downtown Grand Rapids.


USATF Half Marathon Championships – Results

Katy Jermann was fifth at the USATF Half Marathon Championships that were held in Pittsburgh on May 5.  She ran a personal best time of 1:12:11 (previous record was 1:12:58).

Also competing in Pittsburgh were Meghan Peyton who finished 11th with a time of 1:17:13, and Tyler Jermann who was 15th in the men’s field in 1:05:41.
