Minneapolis/St. Paul – Nov. 12, 2019 – Team USA Minnesota’s Danny Docherty will compete in the Flanigan’s Rockin Rib Run 10k in Davie, Florida, on Nov. 17. The seventh annual race that attracts a sold-out 2,500 runners on a flat course begins at 7 a.m. (Eastern).
Docherty is a regular at this race having finished third in 2018 and fifth in 2017. He has a best in the 10k of 29:16.
Most recently Docherty was third at the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon in a personal best time of 2:15:55. He is qualified for the 2020 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials that will be held in Atlanta on Feb. 29, and prior to that will compete at the Aramco Houston Half Marathon on Jan. 19.
Indianapolis Monumental Half Marathon Results
At the Indianapolis Monumental Half Marathon on Nov. 9, Joel Reichow ran a debut time of 1:03:24 in the distance and Kevin Lewis posted 1:03:29 to improve on his previous best of 1:03:55. Reichow was third in the race and Lewis was close behind in fifth place.
The half marathon times of sub-1:04 are qualifiers for the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials and each runner received a bonus of $1,000 from the Indy race for the achievement.
